The day-care, Børnehuset Vores Sted, Livøsmøgen 36 A, 8000 Aarhus C
A photographic building-integrated commissioned work of a new day-care centre in Sølystgade, Aarhus, which, in a playful way brings nature into the institution to delight the users of the institution: children from the nursery and the kindergarten, teachers and parents.
Drawings and photographs of plants and animals from the Danish flora and fauna, placed on the transparent glass sections at the main accesses is what you meet when you enter or leave the institution.
The motifs for FLORA and FAUNA are photographic footage of animals from the Natural History Museum, Aarhus, archival photographs of plants from Den Gamle By, Aarhus and drawings selected from old information boards borrowed from the AU Library, Emdrup. The printing technique is Dip-Tech print, a digital ceramic printing technique on glass.
The inauguration takes place October 31, 2019

Børnehuset Vores Sted, Livøsmøgen 36 A, 8000 Aarhus C
En fotografisk bygningsintegreret udsmykning af ny daginstitution i Sølystgade, Aarhus, som på en legende måde bringer naturen ind i institutionen til glæde for institutionens brugere: vuggestuebørn, børnehavebørn, pædagoger og forældre. Med sin placering på de transparente glaspartier ved primære adgangsveje til institutionen, er det tegninger og fotografier af planter og dyr fra dansk flora og fauna, som møder én, når man ankommer, og når man forlader stedet.
Motiverne til FLORA og FAUNA er fotografiske optagelser af dyr fra Naturhistorisk Museum, Aarhus, arkivfotografier af planter fra Den Gamle By, Aarhus og tegninger hentet fra gamle anskuelsestavler, AU Library Emdrup. Udsmykningen er udført som Dip-Tech print, digitalt keramisk print på glas.
